Last Saturday, I participated at another excellent iPhone/iPad huddle, the Hello Universe Seminar, hosted at Co-Working Fullerton by Rutger Hensel. It was a 1-day meetup to learn, share and connect – specifically, it was geared toward developers, product & graphic designers, UI designers, UX designers, business strategists, legal counsel, and current & future iPhone/iPad entrepreneurs. When you put a bunch of really talented strangers into a space for 2 days, you can come out with some pretty amazing things. Last weekend, I went to the first annual camp here in the So-Cal area, stemmed from the mothership camp in the Bay Area. The camp was a way for web developers, UX professionals including UX designers to get together and share and explore the new realm of the iPad.

Cell phones help us work effectively and efficiently and now there are a multitude of specialized apps on the market to help us tackle the nitty gritty of getting down to business. Below is a list of 10 iPhone apps that I recommend for small businesses, freelancers, consultants or other fellow road warriors to aide in your day-to-day operations.

In collaboration with Traveling Native, I completed the new logo design for Aurelio Barattini to describe his unique identity as a cook and ambassador of Lucca. His culinary message is to share the simplicity and value of Old World Italian cooking methods, and a respect for fresh, local, wild foods.
